Free podcast – iTunes is celebrating 1 Billion Podcast Subscriptions and we are honored to be part of this amazing community.
The journey started eight years ago, in 2005. Since than, a respectable one billion subscribers have listened and downloaded podcast shows on iTunes.
As a podcaster I’m happy and grateful to be part of this milestone. It’s always been a pleasure to enchant my audience with valuable marketing tips and insights, and invite you to participate in our interview-series with top business leaders from all around the world.
If these numbers convinced you – and I sure hope they did – the next step would be to set up your own podcast and share your valuable message with the world. To get you going, here’s a great podcasting tutorial from a fellow podcaster Pat Flynn. He created a video series covering the basics of ‘How to create a podcast’.

Are you having doubts about starting your own show? You don’t know what topic to cover and where to find newsworthy information?
Listen to our Strength In Business Podcast on iTunes…
First of all, pick a topic you love, maybe a hobby you’re totally passionate about. It’s crucial to enjoy the process right from the beginning. This will ensure that you keep researching and sharing interesting information on an ongoing basis.
Second, read newspapers and magazines, search on Google Alerts, YouTube, Amazon and eBay to see what people are looking for. This will give you a good hint in terms of what to talk about and what the worldwide audience is interested in.
Third, if you’re a shy person and you don’t want to appear in front of a camera – audio podcasting is a great marketing tool. You can write a script and rehearse prior to doing the recording. Plus you can edit the file and include all necessary changes.
One last thing: Be YOU. People want to listen to you, not some random actor. Spice up your content and raise your energy prior to talking. People aren’t very attracted to boring podcasters 🙂
